Who We Are
Faith Tabernacle has served the Liberal community for decades with a commitment to Scripture, prayer, and Christ-centered fellowship. We are a small congregation with a big heart for people.
Our Mission
We exist to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel, discipling believers, and serving our community with compassion and truth.
We meet at 514 N Kansas, Liberal, KS 67901 — Sundays at 10:00 AM. We also gather Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. We'd love to see you.
What we believe
The foundation of our beliefs
These are the doctrinal statements as they appear on the church homepage, each rooted in Scripture. A longer Statement of Faith is available on request.
- The Bible
- We believe the Scriptures are the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
- God
- We believe in one God who exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ
- We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, who died for our sins and rose again to give us eternal life.
- The Holy Spirit
- We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, empowering us to live for God, grow in Christlikeness, and serve the church and world.
- Humanity
- We believe every human being is made in the image of God — and that every human being is also broken by sin, and unable to save themselves apart from grace.
- Salvation
- We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is the free gift of God, not earned by any work, religious activity, or merit of our own.
- The Church
- We believe the church is the body of Christ — the people of God gathered locally to worship, hear the word taught, practice baptism and communion, and serve one another and their neighbors.
- The Return of Christ
- We believe Jesus Christ will personally and bodily return to gather his people, judge the living and the dead, and make all things new.
