God is Our Refuge
Psalms 46
Because the Lord Himself is your very present help in trouble, you can rest in His unshakeable kingdom. When God is your refuge, nothing in creation can shake your confidence. The presence of God guarantees the stability of His people. God rules over the chaos. God governs the nations. God defends His own. His sovereignty is not theoretical — it is visible in history and experienced in the lives of His people. The same God who has carried you through every trouble in the past will carry you through every trouble ahead. A mighty fortress is our God.
